As a geek I’ve always been drawn to 6dollarshirts.com but I’ve never actually bought shirts, because I’m the person that fills their cart, looks at shipping prices and then decides against purchasing at all. I hate shipping costs, seriously. Which is ridiculously silly considering the shirts are $6 or if you buy 10 shirts they come down to only $5 per shirt. So why not pay a little bit more for shipping, when most epic shirts cost a minimum of $15 and upwards of $30.
So I did it, I put 10 shirts in my cart (6 for me and 4 for AJ, because I’m not a terrible person.) I scoured the net for a discount code, and knocked a bit of the price down which almost justified shipping.
Then came the long wait, it took about a week to process and another week to ship, so don’t grab these if you wanna look cool for next weekend’s con or for Rick’s birthday on Thursday.
The shirts arrived today in perfectly awesome condition. The screen printing is really well done and I’m really excited about how many fandoms I covered with one $50 purchase.
AJ and I both have our Team Instinct shirts for Pokemon hunting days as well as shirts for our Hogwarts houses. AJ also now has a Lonely Mountain dwarven postcard tee, and Vote Tyrion Lannister tee.
I myself happen to be Netflix obsessed (shocker, right?) and now have a “I do Marathons” tee and the Hawkins Middle AV Club tee from Stranger Things. I also have a The Walking Dead “Just Look at the Flowers tee” (I use that quote on at least a weekly basis.) I really needed a Greendale Community College shirt, because Greendale and Community will always be near and dear to my heart (Where’s that movie, darn it?!)
The only issue I came across is one of my shirts was a bad print color and tee color combo, so the design is really hard to see. I might just reorder the shirt in a different color combination with my next order. I tried to take a picture of how it looked, but of course when you take a picture the design pops perfect.
So the verdict is in, 6 dollar shirts is definitely worth it. It’s a really great place to snag presents for your friends too at that price!
Go forth, and buy all the shirts, then come back here and let me know what I made you buy!
