A glimpse at our wedding. |
You can call me the domestic geek, move over Martha Stewart I can pwn you at video games. I can not count how many times my husband has said that, “We need to start a website about how awesome we are!”. So I’m not that completely jaded…I’m a little jaded, but I wouldn’t label myself that awesome.
I’ve been married a little over 2 months. We had a music inspired wedding, it was fabulous. I did almost everything wedding related by myself, it’s definitely the first time I’ve ever DIY’d anything, and I think I will have to start using these skills in my home to make it feel more like ours.
Our house is very tastefully nerdy. We have two rooms adjacent to each other with a flat screen in each. It’s the perfect setup for lan parties…which reminds me only 6 days until Gears of War 3, look for a blog post about that soon! In our second living room we have a curio cabinet full of our growing Star Wars collection. Our prized collection is our set of crystal Dragon Balls, they are simply the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. We might have paid a small fortune for them, but they are worth it. Plus, we still have a wish to make on them, right? 😉
Armor For Sleep and I after an acoustic in-store set. One of my favorite pictures ever, I loved those guys. (Anthony may have been sleeping) |
Now that you have a taste of how nerdy we are, let’s move on to our obsession with music. I spent my years in High School going to concert after concert. I had weeks where I would go to 2 or 3 concerts in a row, which was a big deal since I lived over an hour away from the closest concert venues. I always felt such a rush when I went to shows, then I started going out of my way to meet all of these bands. I have so many pictures of me with different musicians, I liked pretty obscure bands though, so it’s probably only impressive in my eyes.
