This post about celebrating our family Christmas traditions is sponsored by Netflix.
This holiday season we have a little list going of all the fun and festive things we get to do as a family to celebrate Christmas. For our family Christmas means spending time together, whether we’re baking cookies or cuddled up on the couch with hot cocoa streaming our favorite Christmas movies on Netflix.
Some of the items on our Christmas to-do list are:
Cut down a Christmas tree.
Trim the tree.
Snowfight!
Make paper snowflakes.
Bake and decorate Christmas cookies.
Advent Calendar.
Shopping for gifts.
Wrap gifts.
Build a snowman.
Watch Christmas movies on Netflix.
So far we’ve already cut down and trimmed our Christmas tree. The cutting down of our Christmas tree, yeah that led into a snowball fight. Two things checked off our to do list at once! This was hard to photograph when being pelted by snow.
By the time we made it home it was already bedtime, finding the perfect tree is exhausting so we trimmed the tree the next day.
We also made a double batch of our family cut out cookie recipe. Aliceana helped from making the dough, rolling and cutting them out, and decorating.
We let Aliceana help frost them, she kept telling us that this was “kind of messy.” as she was covered head to toe with frosting and trying to eat all the sprinkles.
We also made paper snowflakes, Aliceana colored all of the snowflakes and we cut them out. We put these on our dining room. Every night we’ve been eating tiny pieces of chocolate that we find in our advent calendar (this is a tradition that’s new to us this year, and I love it already!) We also made a great Christmas playlist with all of our favorite tracks, and I updated our chalkboard that greets our friends and family on the porch with a Christmas message.
There are still quite a few things on our list, we have to shop for gifts and wrap them up. We have to build a snowman.
Most importantly though, we have to have our annual family viewing of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas on Netflix. It isn’t Christmas without Mickey!
Aliceana has bee watching Alpha and Omega 2 A Howl-iday Adventure too. She loves watching the cute pups!
We’re also celebrating the fact that King Julien is coming to Netflix on December 19th with an all-new Netflix Original All Hail King Julien!
To get into the spirit we’ve been watching King Julien in some adorable holiday shows. Merry Madagascar, Madly Madagascar, and The Madascar Penguins: A Christmas Caper.
There are so many great movies to get you in the Christmas spirit on Netflix. Take a break from shopping, cuddle up on the couch with some homemade cookies and a cup of hot cocoa and let Netflix do the work for you.
When the weather looks like this outside, it’s time for Netflix.
Make sure to check it out for yourself! Netflix subscriptions cost about as much as a trip to your favorite coffee shop (or less, AJ and I can’t leave the coffee shop for less than $12 now that Aliceana knows they have juice and treats..) and let me tell you a Netflix subscription is way more fun than a latte!
