Aliceana and Buddy haven’t had the best relationship so far. Buddy is annoyed by the crying, Aliceana is annoyed by the barking.
Lately Aliceana has become pretty obsessed with Buddy. She loves watching him, if he scratches his ear or wags his tail she goes nuts. Buddy occasionally will sniff her, but normally he just walks away and pretends like she doesn’t exist and that makes Aliceana extremely sad…until something else catches her attention.
Well, the other day we were playing on the floor with Aliceana and this happened.
I think they’re going to be best friends after all!
She was tugging on him pretty hard and he didn’t care. He’s so great with kids, we do have to watch where he walks and wags his tail though, he’s a clumsy beast!
Tired out after all that playing!
I just love that they finally got a nice bonding experience, I knew they’d love each other eventually.

This made me tear up! Our sweet lab is 13 years old and not doing very well. I wish that she were younger so the girls could grow up with her. Love, love, love this pictures. 🙂
I know what you mean, Buddy is 8 already and we had a scare last Summer where we thought we were going to lose him. We’ve been toying with the idea of a puppy, I think we’ll wait until Aliceana can walk and hold her ground though, Buddy knocks into her enough and he’s not a crazy hyper puppy.
I absolutely love this!! When I was little we had an old black lab named Black (original, I know) and his name was my first word. Dogs are just the best!
