JELL-O Pumpkin Patch Jigglers

October 15, 2013 by Brittany 8 Comments

Jell-o Jigglers are so much fun to make, and even more fun to eat. It’s a kid friendly food too, what kid doesn’t love to eat Jello?

I decided I needed to make a cute Jell-0 treat for my family, and pondered what we could make with Jello Jigglers. AJ suggested pumpkins, but I wasn’t sure how we would be able to pull off Jell-o pumpkins.

An empty soda bottle was sitting in front of me on the counter, waiting to be recycled, and I had an Aha! moment, then immediately got to work.

Do you see what I did there? I upcycled soda bottles into my very own JELL-O pumpkin molds. I just cut off the bottoms (very carefully, this is a job for a parent!) You’ll need 4 -5 bottles for each batch of Jello that you want to make.

Make sure you wash them in soapy water, then spray each with cooking spray and set on a platter for easy pouring.

Next, I made Orange JELL-O using 1 1/2 cups boiling water and a 6 ounce package of Orange JELL-O Gelatin. Pour this hot mixture into your molds, and refrigerate for 3 hours.

They should pop right out of your molds, and form the cutest little pumpkins. Add half of a tootsie roll to each top.

If desired garnish your serving platter with green dyed coconut. (To dye coconut, simply add several drops of food coloring and stir until your desired shade of green is reached.)

This little Pumpkin Patch of Jello Jigglers would be a hit for any Fall or Halloween themed party! It was so simple and so much fun to make!

How are you making Jello Jigglers this season?

That is one of the most creative dessert ideas I’ve ever seen. Well done, you! I love it (AND I hate gelatinous things, so that’s how awesome this idea is). If I ever have a Halloween party, I will definitely be making these. Thanks!
