Sheep Hand Print (Toddler Craft)

September 5, 2013 by Brittany 4 Comments

I knew I wanted to give my husband some kind of craft incorporating Aliceana for his birthday. Pinterest is just full of cute ideas for using hand prints for crafts, but almost all of them include messy paints. Making my daughter a disaster on purpose is not something I was interested in. Also, I have a wiggle worm on my hands, I know she wouldn’t cooperate for anything too fancy.

So I had to get creative. And the sheep hand print was born.

This craft was simple, as simple as can be with a 13 month old!

Trace the little hand on black cardstock. Cut out where you traced, add a slightly dismantled cotton ball  with glue to create wool. Draw some cute little details with a silver or white marker. Then hot glue to the inside of a blank card. Super easy and so adorable!

Sheep are polka dotted in my little world apparently.

Then hot glue to the inside of a blank card. You can let your little one write a message on the front of the card, but Aliceana would just try to eat the crayon, so I made the message with some cute letter stickers.
Tada! Are you going to make your own little sheep? Maybe a herd of sheep representing each little one in your family?
Don’t have kids yet? Make one with your own hand
print and give it to your mom, she’ll probably put it on her fridge!
