Spring Tailgating for Wisconsin Baseball

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper more if you want it spicier
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 12 oz of beer I recommend a stout, porter, or brown ale, but you can use what ever you prefer
  • 1 15 oz can pinto beans
  • 1 15 oz can black beans
  • 1 15 oz can kidney beans
  • 1 28 oz can baked beans
  • 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 12 oz can tomato paste

Method
 

  1. Add ground beef to a large skillet and season with seasonings listed, add garlic and onion, cook until beef is cooked through
  2. Drain the grease from the ground beef, add beef to a slow cooker
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix well, cook on low heat for several hours, the longer the better. Enjoy!
